Trying To Lose Weight? -There’s a Tea for That!

Green Tea Helps To Shed Those Extra Pounds

Millions of Americans struggle with weight gain on a daily basis. Though it has been theorized that green tea may help with weight loss, a new study shows promising results in the ability of the natural tea to help slow weight gain in the first place!

Obese mice were given a daily dose of a compound found in green tea called epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG). When compared to a control group of mice who were fed the same amount of the same food without the EGCG compound, the results showed that the mice who received the compound gained weight 45% slower than the control mice. Once more, the mice that received the compound also exhibited a 30% increase in fecal lipids.

These results suggest that EGCG not only helps reduce the body’s ability to absorb fat, but also helps enhance its ability to actually use the fat.

Unfortunately, in order to receive the same dosage of EGCG that the mice did, a person would need to drink nearly 10 cups of green tea per day. But not all is lost. The scientists encourage that even just a few cups of tea per day can still show a marked improvement in slowing weight gain. So go put on the kettle and get ready to keep those extra pounds at bay!

Hormone Imbalances Can Cause Weight Gain

Why Hormone Imbalances Cause Extra Pounds

Hormone imbalances can have a very dramatic effect on our daily lives. They can lead to countless unfortunate side effects, including mood swings, loss of libido, loss of energy, depression, and even weight gain. That’s right. If you have suddenly started to put on a lot of weight for no apparent reason, it may because your testosterone levels are low.

Weight gain from hormone imbalance can be particularly dangerous, as the weight most often gathers in your mid section, which can greatly increase your risk of diabetes and heart disease. It is of course important to consult with your doctor as to the cause of your weight gain, but if it does end up being due to hormone imbalance, Vitali-T can help get your hormones back in check, and help reduce your weight gain.

How To Prevent Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is a worry that most men have as they age. Until recently, very little was known to help prevent or reduce the risk of prostate cancer. But in 2005 scientists from the Northern California Cancer Center yielded findings that Vitamin D may cut prostate cancer risk by as much as 65%. They found that men with certain gene variants that were exposed to high levels of sun were at a far lesser risk for the cancer.

Scientists believe this may be because the prostate uses Vitamin D, which is naturally produced by the body when exposed to sunlight. Doctors recommend, however, that should you try to increase your Vitamin D intake to do so via supplement or diets rich in the Vitamin. Over-exposure to sunlight can make you prone to other cancers such as melanoma or skin cancer. Foods that are rich in Vitamin D are eggs, cod liver oil, liver and certain cereals.
